IAFTP Membership Application
The International Association of Flight Training Professionals, Inc. (IAFTP) is an organization dedicated to the identification, recognition, and timely communication of demonstrable global pilot training best practices. IAFTP members are flight training professionals directly involved in the conduct and/or support of pilot training activities. Its singular goal is to work toward improving the competency of all pilots – in airline, air taxi, business, and general aviation – so as to enhance overall aviation safety.
Membership Categories:

Corporate (Flight Training Providers) — US$2,500 annually plus the opportunity to advertise on the IAFTP website and receive recognition as a Corporate Member at activities such as conferences and tradeshows. Corporate members will also have the right to issue uniquely branded versions of myPilot/ECV and myPilot/ID to their students (when available). Applications to become an IAFTP Corporate Member require review and approval of the IAFTP Advisory Committee. An IAFTP Corporate Member shall be fully certified by its National Aviation Authority (NAA) and in good standing as an Approved Training Organization (ATO). In the case of a collegiate aviation program in which a contract ATO is used for flight training, the collegiate aviation program and the contract ATO may both qualify for separate Corporate Memberships. Should at any time a Corporate Member fail to uphold IAFTP’s Standards of Flight Training Professionalism as administrated by the IAFTP Advisory Committee, its membership can be revoked. Individual–Professional (an individual who is now or has been directly involved with pilot training, includes members of the academic community) – US$75 annually (includes ECV when available).

Individual–Associate (any individual pilot not qualifying as a Professional member who is participating in pilot training activities to either establish or enhance personal skills) – US$75 annually (includes ECV when available).

Sustaining (Vendor) — US$2,500 annually plus the opportunity to advertise on the IAFTP website and receive recognition as a Sustaining Member at activities such as conferences and tradeshows. Applications to become an IAFTP Sustaining Member require review and approval of the IAFTP Advisory Committee.

Affiliates (other associations, media organizations, etc. supporting the association’s goals with in-kind services). Applications to become an IAFTP Affiliate Member require review and approval of the IAFTP Advisory Committee.

Professional and Associate individual membership fees are waived for 2013 if five personal training practices are submitted by 31 December 2013 and accepted for posting to the IAFTP Members-Only Training Practices Database.

Flight Training Organizations or operators interested in being among the first to issue the IAFTP electronicCV (eCV) may apply for a special 10-year IAFTP Corporate Membership to obtain a priority position in the eCV roll-out. How to Apply for IAFTP Membership:

First, complete the online application form (below). Once your membership application has been approved by IAFTP, you will receive a welcome email and an invoice with payment instructions.

Next, if you have not already done so, please register for website access using the “Register” link at the top right corner of the web page. This creates your initial user profile and authorizes guest registration status. [Note: If a company, there is only one contact person. However, each employee may become a guest at no charge and those who qualify and wish to, may apply for an Individual membership separately.]

When payment has been received, your website registration status will be upgraded to member, allowing you access to the member-only areas of the website.
